Wheat is getting cheaper on world markets

Yesterday’s quotations of grain contracts on world stock exchanges ended mostly with a decline in prices. Wheat on MATIF fell by 1.5%.

The price of wheat on MATIF dropped to EUR 210/t

Wheat in the contract for delivery in March on Matif became cheaper by 1.5 and cost EUR 210.00/t (PLN 909/t), and on a y/y basis the prices fell by 27.0%.

The price of corn on the Paris Stock Exchange fell by 0.3% in the March contract. and amounted to EUR 181.00/t (PLN 783/t), and over the last year it decreased by 35.2%.

Only corn on CBOT managed to avoid a decline

Wheat on CBoT fell by 1.6% in the March contract. and cost USD 216.88/t. On a y/y basis, quotations decreased by 22.0%. The price of corn in the March delivery contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange did not change and amounted to USD 174.30/t, and has decreased by 34.6% over the last year.

In the continuation chart below of wheat contracts listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, the long-term downtrend dominates, the medium-term trend is downward, and the short-term trend is downward.
