Farmers can now apply for subsidies for fallowing!

From today, i.e. from June 19, farmers can apply for payment under the new ecoscheme: Land excluded from production.

Yesterday we informed about the possibility of applying for a payment for small farms as part of the 2024 campaign, and today the Ministry of Agriculture informs that farmers can also apply for another new payment, this time to the ecoscheme Land excluded from production.

What is the payment rate for land excluded from production?

Farmers implementing this eco-scheme will receive payment for excluding arable land from production up to an area of no more than 4% of the arable land area on the farm.

The estimated payment rate is approximately EUR 126.52/ha, i.e. approximately PLN 563/ha.

The implementation of the new eco-scheme will enable farmers to voluntarily exclude part of arable land from production, for which they will receive payments. Agricultural production (including grazing and mowing) and the use of plant protection products will be prohibited in this area.

Adopted on May 23 this year. by the Sejm (and on June 18, 2024, the Act amending the Act on the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy for 2023-2027 entered into force) makes it possible to submit an application for payment under the new eco-scheme or to make changes to previously submitted applications by the deadline August 31 this year

Changes in the possibility of applying for this payment (as well as payments for small farms) have already been introduced to the eWniosekPlus application.

Payment under the eco-scheme Land excluded from production will not be eligible for land fallow as part of the implementation of obligations under Package 1. Sustainable Agriculture Rural Development Program 2014-2020 and obligations regarding ecological payments Rural Development Program 2014-2020 and PS 2023-2027 due to the possibility of obtaining payment to these lands under these obligations.

The 2024 direct and area subsidies campaign will last until July 1. By June 19, nearly 997,000 had been submitted. conclusions. Farmers have until July 16 to make changes to declarations without financial consequences. Applications can be submitted until July 26, but in the so-called sanction period, i.e. for each business day of delay, the payment amount will be reduced by 1%.

We would like to remind you that the recruitment of applications for premiums for young farmers started today, i.e. on June 19.
