– In breeding, I focus on the longevity and health of animals, but at the same time we constantly make sure not to reduce the efficiency of cows and the composition of milk. My patent for effective production: many areas overlap in cow breeding. For me, the most important thing is good advice, which helps eliminate mistakes in the daily routine and find a solution to a given problem in the herd. Sometimes a small change can do wonders. I am proud of the LKS level of an average of 100,000/ml of milk! This is a priority for me and an indicator of the health of the herd. This result is largely due to hygiene procedures during milking, Pohl noted.

– In my breeding, I focus on the health of the herd and the rearing of young animals, because the later productivity of an adult cow depends on the calves. Due to the robotization of milking, I focus breeding selection primarily on the properly constructed udder, as it is a very important element in this milking system. In the future, I plan to select cows also in terms of milking speed, but this depends on the number of heifers needed to renovate the herd. Apart from breeding work, nutrition is a very important element in breeding. In my opinion, it is nutrition that determines the efficiency of milk production, said Bogdan Kurda.
