(374 kg) and protein 3.43%. (314 kg).
RO Wschód – results of the assessment of the utility value of dairy cows for 2023.
The assessment results in the East Assessment Region cover three voivodeships, i.e. Podlaskie, Lubelskie and Podkarpackie. The highest average productivity of assessed cows in the East Assessment Region in 2023 was again recorded in the Lublin Voivodeship (8,971 kg), and the lowest in the Voivodeship. Podkarpackie (6,469 kg).
In the Entry Assessment Region, in 2023, the assessment was carried out in 4,309 barns and included 189,684.5 units. This gives an increase of 922.7 cows arrived in the utility value assessment compared to the end of 2022.
In 2023, a further upward trend in the productivity of cows assessed in this region was also recorded (by 149 kg of milk y/y). The yield in the East Assessment Region in 2023 was 8,848 kg of milk with a content of 3.45%. protein and 4.12 percent fat. The average herd size is 44.0 animals.
Results of the milk productivity assessment in the Lublin Voivodeship in 2023.
In 2023, PFHBiPM assessed 800 barns in the Lublin Voivodeship, containing 31,878 cows. Their average yield was 8,971 kg of milk (+145 kg of milk y/y) with a content of 3.5%. (310 kg) protein and 4.1%. (363 kg) fat. The average herd size in this voivodeship was 39.8 units (+1.5 units y/y).
The most productive herd from the Lublin region in 2023.
The first place in terms of productivity in the Lublin Voivodeship was again taken by the farm of Małgorzata and Leszek Dusznik from Wierzba, in the Zamość poviat. The average number of cows in this herd was 43.1. They produced an average of 17,343 kg of milk with a protein content of 3.60%. and fat 4.04 percent
This herd was once again characterized by the highest efficiency in terms of the sum of kilograms of fat and protein in milk in the Lublin Voivodeship. This total was 1,324 kg (700 kg of fat and 624 kg of protein).
– I have always believed that the most important goal is efficiency, but today I also focus on the health and longevity of cows. Many factors should be taken into account here, including the condition of the hooves and nutrition, said Leszek Dusznik. – Our patent for effective production is, first of all, genetics. In second place is optimal nutrition. The basic issue is also the analysis of data, thanks to which I know what is happening to each cow – he added.
Results of the dairy productivity assessment in Podlasie in 2023.
In 2023, the assessment of milk productivity in the Podlaskie Voivodeship was carried out in 3,202 barns and included 149,699 cows, whose average yield was 8,926 kg of milk (+156 kg of milk y/y) with a milk content of 3.4%. (308 kg) protein and 4.1%. (370 kg) fat. The average herd size in this voivodeship was 46.7. (+1.8 pcs. y/y).
The most productive herd from the Podlaskie Voivodeship in 2023 – milk yield
The highest productivity in this voivodeship was achieved by the herd belonging to Sylwia and Dawid Burzyński from Kumiała in the Sokółka district. The average number of cows in this herd was 63, and their average productivity was 13,884 kg of milk with a milk content of 3.43%. protein and 3.56 percent fat.
As we read in the PFHBiPM report, when asked what is behind the performance success, breeders admit that it is due to good genetic potential, proper nutrition and ensuring proper welfare. As they point out, taking care of all stages of feed production “from field to manger” is crucial to achieving high efficiency.
The most efficient herd from Podlasie in 2023 – sum of kilograms of fat and protein
In turn, the highest yield in Podlasie in terms of the sum of kilograms of fat and protein in milk was achieved by the farm belonging to Dorota and Leszek Gosek from Głodowo Dąb in the Zambrów district.
It amounted to 1,056 kg (585 kg of fat and 471 kg of protein). The average number of cows in this herd was 103, and their average yield was 13,470 kg of milk with a milk content of 3.49%. protein and 4.34 percent fat.
When asked about his patent for this year’s success, Mr. Leszek believes that attention to the quality of roughage and increasing the share of his own concentrates in the ration resulted in such high milk parameters. And our own concentrate feed is a guarantee of high-quality raw material with a constant composition.
