This week, Ukrainian and Polish agricultural organizations will continue negotiations on the transit of grain and other products and the unblocking of the border, Taras Vysotsky, the first deputy minister of agriculture of Ukraine, said on Monday, quoted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
-It is very important that associations of various sectors have established contacts and will continue meetings this week to precisely agree on the parameters (of export and transit of agricultural products from Ukraine). Everyone understood (at the meeting in Poland last week) that cooperation and cooperation, agreements – this will ultimately bring the best result – said the deputy minister.
According to Wysocki, in the first two weeks of April, the Polish and Ukrainian sides plan to hold a meeting in an extended format, during which farmers from both countries will look for ways to cooperate. It is expected that this could also become the basis for agreements at the inter-state level.
Cautious optimism
Agricultural organizations will work specifically on each industry whose representatives were present at the talks, in particular the talks will concern raspberries, juices, honey, eggs, cereals and poultry.
– There is cautious optimism on this issue, which allows us to hope that after several more meetings to establish the final parameters, we will finally be able to solve this problem – said Wysocki.
He also added that the issue of grain transit from Ukraine is discussed at all international meetings. -Ukraine insists that transit be available without stops and blockages – concluded the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture. (PAP)
