There is money for further payments under the Clean Air program
Another pool of funds, approximately PLN 400 million, went to the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, which transfers this money from February 2, 2024 to the bank accounts of the provincial funds for environmental protection and water management (WfoŚigw). This ensures the implementation and security of current and last overdue payments in the coming weeks, both for Clean Air beneficiaries and contractors operating under the pre-financing of the 2nd and 3rd parts of the program.

  • Both tranches this year, the first one in January – PLN 200 million, and the current one – PLN 400 million in February – go to Clean Air applicants who are waiting for subsidies to replace furnaces and insulate their homes in 2024.
  • The Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management are still working on the payment of subsequent tranches of money from the KPO. At the same time, actions are being taken to mobilize EU funds from the FEnIKS program (European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment).

According to information obtained from sixteen WFEPs, all funds transferred by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (PLN 200 million) have already been distributed among the “Clean Air” beneficiaries.

Two tranches of subsidies go to Clean Air 2024 applicants

Both tranches this year (the first one in January – PLN 200 million, and the current one – PLN 400 million in February) come from the Polish Development Fund (PFR), which finances investments reported to the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO), including the “Clean Air” program.

The Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management are still working on the payment of subsequent tranches of money from the KPO. At the same time, actions are being taken to mobilize EU funds from the FEnIKS program (European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment), which – in accordance with previous plans and announcements – will guarantee the uninterrupted continuity of the program.
