This year we did not announce that there would be a new Ursus C-330, we did not say that Bizon was coming back (although it is coming back, but more on that tomorrow just in case) and we did not write that there would be subsidies for each horsepower. This time we decided to show what the producers came up with on April 1. What ideas came to marketers’ minds? Some are really cool.
We start with a new product from Krone, the Big Lift telehandler. In the April Fool’s post, the German company reveals a secret that someone, somewhere, mentioned. Selected guests (we were not invited) could see the Big Lift 3500 model in mid-March at the grand opening of the first Krone Competence Center in Bavarian Nabburg. According to Korne, the equipment will be available from April 15, in limited quantities, at selected Krone dealers.
– Big Lift 3500 has a load capacity of 3,500 kg and reaches up to 9 m in height. (..) The standard drive is a 150 HP diesel unit. Alternatively, an electric drive will be available. Currently, an autonomous version is also being tested – you can read on the Krone website.
In our opinion, such a product in Krone’s offer would not be a stupid idea. In this case, the trained eye of a mechanic will notice a New Holland machine.
New Holland knows what’s good for the farmer
Speaking of New Holland, the French branch of this company showed a blue New Holland coffee machine.
– Do you know our passion for innovation? This new machine will allow you to achieve unrivaled performance! – New Holland representatives write on Twitter.
Lemken pulled away a bit stronger
The French Lemken unit drove away in the other direction on an electric scooter.
– Lemken is expanding its product range towards electromobility solutions. We are pre-premiere presenting the Spinely electric scooter, which has unique capabilities on the market. Perfect for moving between construction sites – you can read on the Lemken France website.
Technical data is available in the link above. But it doesn’t matter anyway, because it’s not true.
Clever at McHale’s
McHale presented a very interesting idea for the machine. Sometimes a dancer is called differently: “he doesn’t mind the music while dancing” – in this case you can write: “this press doesn’t mind the flood in baling.”
– With constant rain over the last few months, we have been working on something special for baling in wet conditions this season. Check out the McHale FloodMaster500! – can be read on the McHale website.
Seeder with SPA system
Have you ever felt like going to a spa while sowing? Certainly yes. The Swedish company Väderstad came to the rescue.
– Now you can use the Rapid seeder all year round! With our new “Spabad” update you can relax while enjoying the best views on the farm. Available in autumn 2024 – you can read on the Swedish manufacturer’s website.

Chameleon tractor? Here you go
Did anyone need this? No, that’s why it went into production on April 1. Same (SDF Group) presented a chameleon tractor that blends into the background.
More than 10 cuttings per season? With SaMasz it’s possible!
SaMasz did not waste time on April 1 and in just one day he came up with the perfect grass for his machines.
– SaMasz, in cooperation with the International Meadow Grass Innovation Institute (IMGII) in the USA, with the involvement of SaMasz North America and scientists from the institute, completed research on obtaining the ideal variety of grass adapted to the fodder harvesting technology used in SaMASZ machines. Verdantus Superium is a revolutionary grass species developed by a team of American botanists and geneticists, focusing on maximizing nutritional value, biomass efficiency and at the same time ease of harvesting. Individual stages of grass growth and harvesting technology were examined. After over 2 years of research, we received the perfect variety, Verdantus Superium – reads the press release from the Polish company.
Steyr for the midlife crisis
The Steyr company has proposed a tractor perfect for a midlife crisis: a convertible, an SUV, but a tractor, simply perfect for the boulevard in Sopot and for sowing in April.
– Thanks to our new Steyr 6680 VENTUS CVT machine, you can farm with the wind in your hair! – we read on the Steyr Traktory website
Case IH did not go so far and gave the opportunity to work with a tractor using the Case IH Virtual Reality Tractor. In fact, it will happen someday 🙂
Kubota as Marty McFly
Kubota went towards the future and presented Agro-Deck. What’s that?
We don’t know exactly, but it seems to be something like a flying board that we can fly over our field. What for? Just for you to ask.
A classic from a few years ago, but a good one
![New Tarpan produced by Volkswagen? Why not! Or actually, we don't know, photo: Volkswagen Poznań - Commercial Vehicles and Components Factory](https://pliki.farmer.pl/i/18/54/43/185443_940.jpg)
We end our review with one of the cooler screws from the past. On April 1, 2019, the Volkswagen Factory in Poznań, which grew out of the Agricultural Car Factory in Antoninek, announced that it would resume production of the good old Tarpan. And in the original version with the S-21 engine known from Warsaw 223.
– The iconic Tarpan is back in production! After more than 20 years of break, Tarpans will leave the Poznań car factory again. The planned limited series will amount to only 300 vehicles. The new Tarpan is to be a faithful copy of its predecessor and will retain many non-standard, but customer-proven design solutions. The first model from the limited series has just left the assembly line. Car number 1 is Tarpan Type S-21_N in Ocean Blue color, with a 2120 cm³ 51 kW / 70 HP petrol engine and a 4-speed gearbox – wrote the company’s announcement.
Which of the ideas did you like the most? Maybe one of them can be used in real work? Of course, these are not all machine screws that appeared on the Internet today – these are just our subjective selection – if you have any cool examples, let us know in the comments.
