Current prices of domestic weaners (05/02/2024)?
In the case of domestic pigs, most of the surveyed sales points maintained last week’s prices. In turn, 1/3 of the points decided to increase their rates (from PLN 5 to PLN 10/pcs.)
According to the results of our weekly survey, rates for domestically produced weaners weighing 20 kg currently average PLN 358/piece. net, i.e. by PLN 3/pcs. more than a week ago. Prices of weaners in this mass range from PLN 340 to PLN 370/piece. net.
Domestic weaners weighing 30 kg cost on average PLN 440/piece. net, i.e. by PLN 4/pcs. more than last week. Their prices range from PLN 390 to PLN 460/pcs. net.
How much do imported weaners cost (05/02/2024)?
In the case of imported piglets, the vast majority of surveyed sales points increased their prices (from PLN 5 to PLN 30/piece). The remaining points maintained their prices from last week.
Weaner pigs imported from Denmark are currently valued at an average of PLN 458/piece. net, i.e. by PLN 8/pcs. more than a week ago. Their prices range from PLN 422 to PLN 480/piece. net. The prices given are for weaners weighing 30 kg.
