PFHBiPM published its position on agricultural protests. She emphasized that the essence of the protests is to enable rural residents to live a dignified life and create working conditions that will ensure food security in Poland. However, the Polish farmer’s concern to provide the best food products does not receive wide support.

Our position on agricultural protests has been published on the website of the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Milk Producers.

PFHBiPM supports the demands to abolish EC requirements

“The Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Milk Producers, as an institutional representative of the cattle breeders and milk producers, fully sympathizes with and supports the demands of the agricultural community regarding the abolition of the requirements imposed by the European Commission in the field of the so-called Green Deal,” we read in the published position.

The federation emphasized that the solutions introduced were imposed and not agreed upon with farmers, and the scale of protests in Poland and Europe clearly indicates that this is not an isolated opposition. The scale of the problems is enormous, as indicated by PFHBiPM.

The lack of clear explanations distorts the perception of farmers’ efforts

“The lack of a clear explanation of the real effects of implementing the provisions of the Green Deal means that part of society considers our protest to be unjustified,” the Federation noted. – The care of Polish farmers and breeders to provide the best food products does not receive wide support. The aid provided is incidental, giving the impression that the essence of the demands is solely to obtain financial resources, she added.

The Federation emphasized that the essence of the protests is to enable rural residents to live with dignity and to create working conditions that will ensure food security in Poland.

“The provisions of the Fit for 55 package and the implementation of its provisions using the Green Deal solutions aim to destroy the centuries-old achievements of the Polish countryside. To destroy the efforts of generations of people for whom cultivating land and agriculture is an expression of patriotism,” PFHBiPM said in a statement.
