Work is underway to increase the export of Polish agri-food products to China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announced on Friday, referring to the meeting between Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jacek Czerniak and Deputy Minister of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC), LYU Weihong.
As written in the announcement, GACC is the institution responsible for access of imported food to the Chinese market.
One of the topics of the talks – as indicated – was the issue of the recognition by the authorities of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) of regionalization in the field of bird flu and the resumption of exports of Polish poultry meat, taking this principle into account.
The principle of regionalization in relation to Polish poultry meat is respected in the most demanding markets, and Polish poultry is exported to countries and regions around the world – said Deputy Minister Czerniak, quoted in the information.
He recalled that on April 5 this year Poland regained the status of a bird flu-free country.
I am convinced that restoring the export of Polish poultry meat to the Chinese market will bring mutual benefits, he emphasized.
In turn, Deputy Minister LYU Weihong – as written – confirmed “that the Chinese side is ready to deepen bilateral cooperation and actions to increase imports of agri-food products from Poland.”
