Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, Urszula Zielińska, provided information during the Committee on Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry on when the recruitment for the Moje Prąd 6.0 program is scheduled to start. Initially, a budget of PLN 400 million is planned for the next edition of the program under the FEnIKS allocation.
- Work is currently being carried out to prepare the substantive assumptions of the Moje Prąd 6.0 program. The planned date of announcing the recruitment for Moje Prąd 6.0 is the second quarter of 2024.
- The budget of the next, 6th edition of the Moje Prąd program is planned in the amount of PLN 400 million as part of the FEnIKS allocation.
The Moje Prąd program for co-financing home photovoltaic installations has been implemented for 6 years. Since 2018, five calls for proposals for the Moje Prąd program have been held, in which over PLN 511,600 in funding for photovoltaics has been awarded. prosumers, and their total amount reached PLN 2.461 billion over these 6 years.
The last, fifth edition of the Moje Prąd program ended on December 22, 2023. However, funds are still being paid for applications submitted by owners of home photovoltaics not only from the fifth but also from previous editions of Moje Prąd.
Recruitment of applications takes place in a competitive manner and as of February 21 this year, under five calls for proposals for the program, co-financing was paid for 511,629 applications in the amount of over PLN 2 billion, 461 million – emphasizes the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Urszula Zielińska.
The main principles of granting subsidies for photovoltaics, i.e. My electricity 5.0 in numbers
The previous edition of the Moje Prąd 5.0 program allowed you to apply for funding for home photovoltaic installations with a capacity of 2 to 10 kW.
The subsidy amount depended on whether the applicant received a subsidy from previous editions of the Moje Prąd program and whether he or she applied for subsidies for photovoltaics alone or for an energy storage facility and a system for controlling and managing the electricity produced from photovoltaics.
In short, you could apply for a grant of PLN 6,000. PLN or 7 thousand PLN – depending on the category to which the prosumer for photovoltaics qualified, and an additional PLN 16,000 could be obtained. PLN subsidies for electricity and heat storage facilities (PLN 5,000), energy management systems (PLN 3,000) and solar collectors (PLN 3,500) and even heat pumps.
What was new in the fifth edition of the My electricity program were subsidies for heat pumps and solar collectors for heating domestic hot water.
If you decided to purchase a ground heat pump, you could receive a subsidy of up to PLN 28,500. zloty. In the case of air/water heat pumps with a higher energy class, the subsidy did not exceed PLN 19,400. zloty. In turn, for air/water pumps it amounted to 12.6 thousand. zloty; and for air/air pumps – up to 4.4 thousand. zloty.
What were the most applications submitted for in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program?
Type of subsidized device | Total amount of all grants | Number of applications |
Photovoltaic installation | approx. PLN 525 million | ok. 88000 |
energy storage | approx. PLN 139 million | ok. 9000 |
heat storage | approx. PLN 24 million | ok. 5000 |
energy management system | approx. PLN 12 million | ok. 4000 |
solar panels | over 500 thousand zloty | ok. 180 |
As we can see, subsidies for photovoltaics were the most popular, even though in the 5th edition they were the lowest amounts for micro-installations. Will this change in the next edition?
What will change in the next edition of Moje Prąd 6.0?
Recruitment for the Moje Prąd 6.0 program is already scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.
Work is currently underway to prepare substantive assumptions for this program. The planned date of announcing the 6th recruitment is the second quarter of this year – emphasized the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Environment, Urszula Zielińska.
Will it bring a number of changes expected by potential beneficiaries of the Moje Prąd 6.0 program and the photovoltaic industry?
It all depends on the amount of the budget allocated for subsidies, and the planned one is not very large.
The budget of the next – 6th edition – of the “My electricity” program is planned to amount to PLN 400 million under the FEnIKS allocation – emphasized the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Environment, Urszula Zielińska.
It is worth adding that the budget for the Moje Prąd 5.0 editions amounted to over PLN 950 million, so the current budget for the Moje Prąd 6.0 edition is currently more than twice smaller than the one in the previous edition.
The Ministry of Climate and Environment previously suggested that it would increase subsidies for energy storage in Moje Prąd 6.0. However, work on the rules for granting subsidies from this program is still ongoing.
Plans to improve this program for this year are that applications submitted in previous calls will continue to be assessed and processed. Refunds from funds from the European Union will also be settled – emphasizes the secretary of state at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Urszula Zielińska.
