Corrective week of grain prices on MATIF
The past shorter week of grain prices on world stock exchanges (the stock exchanges were closed on Good Friday) was ambiguous. Grain prices on the Paris stock exchange were out of breath, while prices on the American market increased.
Wheat in the May delivery contract rose by 1.4% on Thursday on MATIF. and cost EUR 203.50/t (PLN 879/t), and y/y prices dropped by 21.5%. Over the last week, the price of wheat has decreased by 1.8%.
The price of corn on the Paris Stock Exchange in the June contract increased by 1.4 percent on Thursday. and amounted to EUR 193.25/t (PLN 835/t), and over the last year it decreased by 23.8%. During the week, the prices fell by 0.1%.
On Thursday, corn prices rose the most on CBOT
Wheat on CBoT in the May contract increased by 2.3% on Thursday. and cost USD 205.85/t. On a y/y basis, the prices fell by 20.5%. Over the last week, the price has increased by 1.0%. The price of corn in the contract for delivery in May on the Chicago Stock Exchange increased by 3.6%. and amounted to USD 174.01/t, and over the last year it decreased by 32.1%. Over the last week, prices increased by 0.6%.
