71% of Poles say that our country should introduce restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine. These are the results of the study conducted by IBRiS, which was presented during the 16th European Economic Congress.

19% of Poles participating in the survey admitted that Poland should ban the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine, and 71% – that restrictions in this respect should be introduced. Only 4% of respondents confirmed that our country should allow free import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine, 6% of Poles have no opinion on this matter.
Should Poland introduce restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine?
IBRiS checked the results of this study broken down by gender. Among women, 23% are in favor of a ban and 66% are in favor of introducing restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine, and among men it is 16% and 75%, respectively.
Broken down by place of residence, the most supporters of introducing a ban and restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine are among the inhabitants of rural areas – (ban – 22% and restrictions – 76%) and small towns with 50,000 inhabitants. inhabitants (13% and 73%).
The preferences of Poles are slightly different, as they answered that Poland should ban or introduce restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine, among the inhabitants of medium-sized cities (50-250 thousand inhabitants) and the largest cities (+250 thousand inhabitants) – 65% each. However, in medium-sized cities, 29% of respondents support the ban, and in the largest cities – “only” 16%.
IBRiS also checked what these preferences look like depending on the age of the respondents. Thus, among the youngest (18-29 years old), the percentage of people who say that Poland should introduce restrictions on the import of food and agricultural products from Ukraine is 62%, and 29% of respondents support the introduction of a ban. Among the 30-39-year-old group, 69% support a restriction and 18% support a ban, and among 40-49-year-olds, 77% (restriction) and 9% (ban).
