According to the International Grains Council, due entirely to the deteriorating outlook for maize, mainly related to disease and drought stress, in parts of the Southern Hemisphere, the April forecast for total cereal production (wheat and feed grains for the 2023/2024 season) was lowered by 3 million tonnes for the month by month to 2.301 million tons.
