what are the prices for sowing services this year?

Growing sugar beets and corn in a strip-till system is becoming more and more common. We are checking what prices the service providers are offering this year for the sowing service in the strip tillage system.

What offers appear most often?

The editors of farmer.pl checked among a group of service providers from all over Poland how much they have to spend this spring for sowing sugar beets and corn in the strip till system. Prices are generally similar.

Service providers set prices for the sowing service, including fuel costs, or the fee for used diesel oil (sometimes also with AdBlue) is additionally borne by the farmer ordering the service.

The most common offer in conversations with service providers was PLN 400 net/ha + costs of fuel used. However, prices range from PLN 335 net/ha + fuel to PLN 500 net/ha + fuel or PLN 550/ha with fuel costs included.

All service providers note that prices are subject to adjustments. When ordering the sowing of a large area, you can usually count on discounts.

Price includes fuel costs

Offers with fuel costs included in the price appear less frequently. In these cases, offers start from PLN 430/ha net and end at PLN 550/ha net. However, service providers most often talk about the amount of PLN 450/ha net.

The price of the service plus fuel is borne by the farmer

Service providers prefer this form of settlement. Then the cheapest offers cost below PLN 400 net/ha – from PLN 335 and 340/ha net. The most expensive: PLN 500 net/ha for the sowing service only. The most common rate is PLN 400 net/ha + fuel costs.

Prices for sowing beets and corn do not differ much

In the vast majority of cases, the same rate applies for sowing sugar beet and corn in the strip-till system.

However, some service providers vary their prices – then sowing sugar beets is usually PLN 50 more expensive than corn. For example: PLN 350 net/ha + fuel costs for sowing corn, and PLN 400 net/ha + fuel costs for sowing beets, or PLN 500 net/ha with fuel costs included for corn sowing, and PLN 550 net/ha with fuel costs included. for sowing beets.

There are more and more sugar beet seeders in the fields. What will be the cultivated area in 2024?

Unfortunately, as many as 84 percent Poles have not heard of regenerative agriculture
