Several dozen communes released from the pink zone. Check where restrictions have been eased

The latest implementing regulation of the European Commission limited the scope of the pink zone in the Warmian-Masurian, Masovian and Podkarpackie voivodeships. In turn, in the Silesian and Lesser Poland Voivodeships, a number of communes were moved to an ASF-free area.

The area’s release from the pink zone results from the fact that no ASF outbreaks have occurred in the wild boar population in the given area over the last 12 months. In this case, the communes listed below were included in the blue zone, where fewer restrictions apply.

Where has the pink zone been abolished?

According to the latest EC regulation, the pink zone has been abolished in the following locations:

Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship:

Działdowo district (Iłowo-Osada, Lidzbark communes)

Nowe Miasto County (Grodziczno, Kurzętnik communes)

Masovian district:

Żuromin County (Lubowidz, Kuczbork-Osada communes)

Siedlce County (communes of Zbuczyn, Wiśniew, Domanice, Siedlce)

City of Siedlce

Sochaczewski County (Iłów, Rybno, Młodzieszyn, Brochów communes)

Nowy Dwór County (municipalities of Czosnów, Leoncin, Nasielsk, Pomiechówek, Zakrętym)

City of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki

Podkarpackie voivodeship:

Kolbuszów County (communes of Cmolas, Dzikowiec, Kolbuszowa, Majdan Królewski, Niwiska)

Rzeszów County (Sokołów Małopolski commune)

Areas released from the blue zone

In turn, the blue zone was abolished in a number of communes in the Silesian and Lesser Poland voivodeships. Let us remind you: the inclusion of the following areas in the pink zone and then in the blue zone was the result of an ASF outbreak in the Zawiercie district, which appeared at the end of 2022. It is worth emphasizing that this was the only outbreak in this part of the country.
