Dariusz Rohde was appointed on Wednesday as the president of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund – the Ministry of Agriculture announced on the X platform.
Today, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, handed Dariusz Rohde an act of appointment to the position of president of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund. Dariusz Rohde already held this position in 2006-2007 – it was written.
A president with a past
The new president has already served as president of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund. he held it in 2006–2007.
He was dismissed from office. According to reports from Gazeta Wyborcza, he lost his position because he did not accept the corrupt proposal of Andrzej Lepper’s close associate, Małgorzata Gut. According to him, the attorney allegedly suggested “rigging” a tender for the selection of a law firm servicing KRUS. Her law firm was supposed to win the tender.
A different version of the case was presented by Małgorzata Gut, who claimed that it was the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund that proposed her participation in the tender. The then deputy prime minister, Andrzej Lepper, defended his colleague and claimed that the whole matter was the revenge of the dismissed president.
This is Mr. Rohde’s revenge for no longer being the president of KRUS, said Andrzej Lepper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture.
The reason given by Lepper for dismissing Dariusz Rhode from his position was the loss of trust in him. The official reason for Dariusz Rohde’s dismissal was irregularities in the functioning of the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund.
The case also involved pressure related to the requirement to employ people with political affiliations from Self-Defense as deputy directors.
Who is Darius Rhode?
The new president of KRUS was born in 1962. He graduated in construction from the Poznań University of Technology, as well as postgraduate studies in management and marketing. Since 1998, he has been professionally associated with the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund: initially he managed the branch in Koszalin, and then in Szczecin.
Rhode was said to be a close associate of Artur Balazs.
