After the start of the second stage of real estate reform, the average price of agricultural land in Ukraine increased by over 40 percent. However, the demand for them is negligible.

Prices of agricultural plots in Ukraine have increased by 40% since the beginning of the year, i.e. since the implementation of the second stage of land sales. However, only 1 percent of the available land was sold, reports the Ukrainian portal Ekspert.

As stated by Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Denys Bashlyk, the market did not notice much demand from legal entities, which were allowed to purchase leased land under the new arrangement. From January this year legal entities purchased 3,622 plots with a total area of ​​11,610 ha. In the same period, natural persons purchased 19,582 plots with a total area of ​​58,670 ha.

-In the first quarter of 2024, 114,872 plots with a total area of ​​347,185 ha were sold under purchase and sale agreements. The average price for 1 hectare reached UAH 45,246, said Denys Bashlyk.

The average cost of one hectare of land for a legal entity turned out to be 40 percent lower. higher than for a natural person. This is UAH 64,116 against UAH 41,510. The average price of a hectare on the market is UAH 45,246.
