In Ukraine, agricultural machinery dealers do not complain. The equipment is selling like hot cakes

Dealers and machine manufacturers in Ukraine have no reason to complain. Agricultural equipment sells very well, which is supported by attractive financing programs. It is provided by, among others: European Bank for Development and Reconstruction.

While in the European Union farmers are tightening their belts and suspending investments, which is causing depression among agricultural machinery dealers, in Ukraine the machinery industry is counting on growing profits. As we read on the Kurkuł website, this year’s spring is extremely kind to them.

The machinery industry is rubbing its hands

Sales of agricultural machinery in the new season have taken off strongly and it is already clear that it will be a very good year for producers and dealers. As it turns out, both large and smaller agricultural entrepreneurs are eager to buy new equipment and are currently modernizing their machinery extensively.

As Dmytro Baranov, deputy general director for machinery sales at Titan Machinery Ukraine, tells journalists, farmers now most often order seeders, cultivators and tillage units, as well as rollers and harrows. As another representative of the same company notes, interest in precision farming machines is also growing noticeably, and the company’s offer includes new brands and products. Titan Machinery Ukraine is the official representative of CNH, Trimble and Raven.

Funding and loans

According to conversations with dealers, there is optimism on the market. Sales of machines are growing because farmers can count on an attractive purchase financing program provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, preferential loans with low interest rates, as well as state funding for the purchase of domestically produced machines. In the latter case, the government promises to pay 25 percent of the value of the Ukrainian equipment.

As we learn, buyers are interested in machines not only from Ukrainian manufacturers. Dealers of foreign brands are also selling more and more. What is worth noting, small and medium-sized farms in Ukraine can also count on support, which also increases demand on the machinery market.

Disrupted deliveries…

Dealers in Ukraine are only spoiled by delays in deliveries of machines and spare parts, which are caused by Polish farmers protesting at border crossings – we read on a Ukrainian industry portal. However, these problems do not affect prices for customers.
