Initially, all border crossings with Ukraine are scheduled to be blocked on Thursday (April 18). This is the result of Donald Tusk’s cancellation of Sunday talks with farmers, but also the constant lack of specifics from the government.
Already on Friday (12/04), when we visited farmers protesting at the border in Dorohusk, they announced that they would not leave the protests, and if the meeting with the Prime Minister does not take place or there are no specifics once again, the form of the protest will be more stringent.
All borders with Ukraine will be blocked
Now the worst-case scenario is coming true. As Roman Kondrów, the organizer of the strike at the border crossing in Medyka, informed today, blockades at the crossings in Korczowa, Zosina, Medyka and Barwinek will be restored from Thursday. Blockades are still in place at the crossings in Dorohusk, Dołhobyczów and Hrebenne.
We have to take radical actions since talks are not working, says Kondrów.
Today (15/04) in Dorohusk there was a meeting between protesting farmers and representatives of the local government. The atmosphere of the meeting was exceptionally hot, emotions were getting out of control, but there were no results.
We are at the end of our strength, but we will not allow ourselves to be held down, say farmers protesting in Dorohusk. – The government ignores us, the local government ignores us. The jokes are over. They must understand that we will not give up and will fight until the end.
Farmers announce that the border blockade planned for this week will be a complete one. This means that neither buses nor humanitarian aid pass through the crossings.

So far, quite similar rules for letting cars through have been in force at blocked crossings. Below you will find information on how traffic is regulated in Hrebenne.
Cars enter Ukraine from Poland twice a day – at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., 12 cars each enter. We are talking about cars in the queue that transport materials other than food, humanitarian, military and ADRs other than diesel, gasoline, gas or asphalt.
Additionally, 4 trucks with humanitarian transports arrive every hour; perishable products (fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, live fish or ice-covered fish, meat, cold meats fresh or ice-covered), ADRs only with cargo such as: diesel, petrol, gas, asphalt; as well as transports of cut flowers, tree seedlings (without pots) and mail.
Cars admitted outside the general rail line are subject to verification whether the goods they are carrying are eligible for passage at a specific time.
Military transports pass without queues, regardless of arrival time. Passenger cars, minibuses (up to 3.5 t), local buses and tourist buses are allowed to pass without stopping.
From Ukraine to Poland, trucks (TIR), regardless of the type of cargo transported, will not be allowed to enter the territory of Poland – until further notice. All other vehicles (passenger cars, minibuses (up to 3.5 t), local and tourist buses) are allowed to pass without stopping.
However, farmers announce that these rules will change and the borders will be completely closed.
