Zetor returns to numerical designations. This is the new Zetor 6 series

A few days ago, we announced that Zetor would show a new tractor at the Techagro fair in Brno, which started on Sunday. We already know a little more about it, it is not a revolution, but an evolution of the Czech company’s machines. First of all, the new machine is an announcement of changes in the names of tractors.

The Techagro agricultural technology fair is one of the largest events of this type in the Czech Republic. After six years, the event returns to the exhibition center in Brno and will last until Thursday, April 11. The fair also includes the Silva Regina Forest Fair and the Biomass Fair for renewable energy sources in agriculture and forestry.

430 companies came to Brno, including 100 from abroad (including a dozen or so from Poland). One of the main topics of the fair is intelligent farming, i.e. the use of modern technologies in agriculture.

Sunday at the fair in Brno

In addition to interesting premieres, such as the presentation of the new Zetor machine, industry meetings were also held to discuss the poor condition of the entire sector. Speeches by representatives of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Czech Republic were critical of the government.

The Minister of Agriculture, Marek Výborný, who was at the fair (below his photo from the event, there is also a photo of the new Zetor) responded to the farmers’ criticism in his speech and emphasized that he is working on fulfilling some of the points, but meeting the remaining demands by the end of April is unrealistic.

Zetor series 6

So let’s move on to the most important point of the fair from the point of view of the Polish farmer, i.e. the new Zetor. The Czech manufacturer assures on its website that significant changes have recently taken place at Zetor, not only in production. The main change will also be the marking of the tractor model line.

– Once again, we are returning to our origins and traditions, when Zetor tractors were classified according to numerical series. This method of marking has many advantages both for end customers and for us as a manufacturer. The new model series designations help better express the tractor size category and approximate engine power. This will provide customers with easier orientation in our portfolio, but also in the market – it was written in the announcement.

Therefore, the Czech manufacturer returns to numerical marking of models. From now on, they will be organized by series number and related to engine power. According to Zetor, such markings will provide a transparent categorization system that will make it easier for customers to identify which tractors will be best for their work.

A new range of Zetor tractors

– We are currently working on new ranges of tractors that will be a continuation of our existing models. The new assortment will introduce certain innovations and improvements that reflect the needs of our customers and current trends in the agricultural sector, announces Zetor.

The first models from the new range under the new name “Series 6” were presented at the international Techagro fair in Brno. The equipment refers to the category currently covered by Forterra and Crystal models.

– Changing the labeling of tractors is not only a cosmetic change. This is a strategic move that reflects the transformation of our product portfolio while meeting the demands of agricultural customers. We believe that the new system will fulfill its purpose – concludes Zetor’s statement.

Zetor is a symbol of agricultural mechanization in Finland

As you probably all know, Zetor produces its machines in Brno, so the tractors drove to the fair on wheels, thus creating a kind of heppening.

What do we know about the new 6 Series?

From the information that has already been published, we know that the new “6 series” is more of an evolution than a revolution in the Zetor range, but there will be some major changes.

Under the hood there will be a 4.1-liter Deutz AG engine, which will work with a ZF 24×12 or 48×24 gearbox. The power expected for this tractor is approximately 130 – 170 HP. The rear lift will be able to lift approximately 7.2 tons.

The new feature will be a premiere cabin equipped with all the equipment of agriculture 4.0.

Pronar 8140, 7150 and 5110 tractors. Good, Polish, but unpopular
