After Wednesday’s protest, Solidarity, the Independent Farmers’ Trade Union, issued a statement in which it assured, among other things, that farmers would not give up.
In the statement published on the website of NSZZ Rolników Indywidualnych Solidarność not only refers to the events during the protest, but also thanks the participants of the meeting for their participation.
The Presidium of the National Council of the Independent Farmers’ Union “Solidarity” would like to thank everyone: farmers, miners, steel workers, foresters, hunters, the industrial sector, all social groups, organizations and grass-roots movements of protesting farmers, as well as all Poles participating in yesterday’s protest in defense of Polish agriculture – they wrote trade unionists.
The protest was a huge success
As they argue in their statement, the protest was a success and a huge step in the integration of the entire working community. From the beginning, as the organizer intended, the protest was peaceful until its dissolution.
We express our firm opposition to the actions of the Police and other provocateurs, whose sole purpose was to cause riots and other illegal events, the statement said. – The provocative and brutal behavior of the uniformed services, whose only task is to ensure the peaceful course of the protest, is unacceptable. Publicly available recordings confirm provocations on the part of the Police and reveal a number of irregularities in the activities he undertakes.
The organizers ask all witnesses of such events to send evidence in the form of recordings and photos regarding these incidents to a special e-mail address: protest0603@gmail.com in order to report, record and use in possible trials against officers abusing their powers.

NSZZ RI Solidarność wants to help detained farmers
NSZZ RI Solidarność also took action to provide legal assistance necessary for detained farmers.
We ask all those whose family members have been detained to contact the Association’s office – they appeal.
The Presidium of the National Council of the Independent Farmers’ Trade Union maintains the current protest actions and sets the next date of the National General Strike for March 20, 2024.
We will not give up as farmers until our demands are fully implemented! – they sum up.
