What do envelope elections, Cedrob and the Ministry of Agriculture have in common?

During the PiS government, who decided who would become the Minister of Agriculture? The answer is not that obvious.

Hearings before the Sejm investigative committee on envelope elections constantly provide the public with interesting tidbits. For example, the decision on who would become the Minister of Agriculture during the PiS government was made by… the president of Cedrob.

At least this is what follows from Monday’s statement by MP Jarosław Sachajka (Kukiz’15).

How support was sought for the idea of envelope elections

MP Sachajko was summoned before the parliamentary investigative committee for envelope elections in connection with a Facebook post by Paweł Kukiz, who wrote on May 5, 2020 that “Jarosław Sachajko, MP Kukiz’15 from the Chełm district, former chairman of the parliamentary committee on agriculture, calls president of one of the largest chicken producers in Poland – Cedrob.

Farmer.pl wrote about it in the following article:

– Drobiarz encourages Sachajka to support the PiS law on postal elections and suggests a position in the Ministry of Agriculture. Drobiarz also invites you to a meeting with the Prime Minister. After consulting with me, Jarosław Sachajko goes to meet Mateusz Morawiecki. Lots of round words typical of the Prime Minister. The good of Poland, the good of the party, the good of Duda – you can read in Kukiz’s entry.

Kukiz further reported that “Sachajko asks why the Prime Minister is not talking to me directly. VATeusz replied that Kukiz insulted his father, but he graciously forgives Kukiz! (yes, I really offended Kornel terribly by including him on the Kukiz’15 lists to the Sejm and nominating him for Senior Marshal, although PiS has always ridiculed and avoided Kornel (which the Prime Minister knows perfectly well and has accepted this fact).

– To sum up – the Millennium Prime Minister and the Poultryman fail to convince MP Sachajka to betray his own beliefs and voters, and vote for the extension of the rule of the Bribers and Blackmailers at all costs – wrote Kukiz.

Support for the ministerial position

The chairman of the committee, Dariusz Joński (KO), has now asked MP Sachajka to comment on this entry.

Jarosław Sachajko confirmed that such a meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and the president of Cedrob, Andrzej Goździkowski, took place, and that he received an offer from this businessman that he would receive a job in the Ministry of Agriculture for supporting the envelope elections.

— Andrzej Goździkowski, who is currently the president of the management board of Cedrob, called me, which surprised me very much, and said that this law (on envelope elections – editor’s note) must be supported. The president of the management board of Cedrob suggested a meeting with the prime minister, saying that I could possibly work in the Ministry of Agriculture, the MP said.

Let us add that according to the list of companies that imported grain from Ukraine to Poland, published in November last year, the import value of Cedrob itself (7th position on this list) was estimated at PLN 144,770,207.00.

The dots connect themselves.

Grain scandal: a list containing grain import quotas from Ukraine has surfaced! The total amount is PLN 5.5 billion
