Weaner prices slightly up. How much do domestic and imported animals cost?

As shown by our survey today, the prices of weaners for fattening have increased slightly over the past week. Only in the case of animals weighing 30 kg, a slightly more visible increase was recorded.

For the first time in many weeks, Thursday’s session of the Danish stock exchange ended with the current prices being maintained. Therefore, it was difficult to expect the prices of both domestic and imported animals to change significantly. And so it happened. A domestic weaner weighing 20 kg and an imported weaner currently cost almost the same as a week ago. A larger increase was recorded in prices in the ’30s’.

How much do piglets cost for fattening?

For weaners weighing 20 kg, domestic breeders expect amounts ranging from PLN 390 to PLN 450/piece, while the average selling price of animals of this weight is PLN 405/piece, which is a symbolic PLN 2 more than last week.

However, larger increases were recorded in the case of animals weighing 30 kg. In this case, prices range from PLN 475 to PLN 540/pcs. The average selling price of “30s” is PLN 507/pcs. i.e. PLN 10 more than a week ago.

Prices of imported weaners

We have not noticed any major changes in the price lists of companies intermediating in the supply of imported weaners. Depending on the health status, an imported pig costs from PLN 498 to PLN 570/piece. with the average transaction price being PLN 535/pcs. This is PLN 3 more than a week ago.
