
On March 8, 2024, the National Final of the Young Agricultural Producers Olympics was held. The event was held under the patronage of Farmer.
The originator and main organizer of the project has been the Rural Youth Union for many years. The National Final was preceded by community qualifying rounds (school and district) and the Provincial Finals, where a total of over 1,000 young farmers, students of agricultural schools and students competed.
This year’s Olympiad was special because it was its 41st edition, and the event was held under the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, and the Scientific Patronage of the Rector of the University of Agriculture. The farmers were also supported by the chairman of the National Development Council for Agriculture, Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski; Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Adam Nowak; president of the National Council of Agricultural Chambers, Wiktor Szmulewicz; director of the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, Ireneusz Drozdowski, as well as deputy director of the Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Center in Modliszewice, Jarosław Mostowskie.
The Olympics have been held at Agrotech for 15 years
For over 15 years, the National Final of the Young Agricultural Producers Olympics has been held at the Targi Kielce Conference Center during the AGROTECH Fair.
Seventy winners of the provincial qualifying rounds tested their knowledge and skills in written and practical parts, during which questions were asked about the construction of agricultural machines, agrotechnical procedures, identification of species of seeds of farmed plants, methods of cultivation, plant and animal production, environmental protection, renewable energy sources, occupational health and safety. in agriculture or EU funds.
After this stage, the ten best competed in the oral part, during which they answered the final questions prepared by representatives of the University of Agriculture in front of the scientific committee and the audience. Hugo Kołłątaj in Krakow.
The competition committee included:
- Ph.D. engineer Urszula Malaga-Toboła prof. URK – Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Production Engineering and Energy of the University of Agriculture in Kraków, specialist in animal production

- Ph.D. engineer Dariusz Kwaśniewski – specialist in environmental protection and renewable energy sources, University of Agriculture in Krakow
- Dr. Eng. Dariusz Baran – specialist in agricultural mechanization, University of Agriculture in Krakow
- MSc. Piotr Witczak from the Świętokrzyskie Agricultural Advisory Center
- MSc. Ireneusz Gradka from the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów
The final participants received cash checks provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Agricultural Advisory Center in Brwinów, Member of the European Parliament, Mr. Adam Jarubas, and attractive prizes.
