KRIR appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture to change the burdensome regulations requiring the movement of animals from the habitat to a pasture that is not directly adjacent to the borders of the habitat plot.
– The Management Board of KRIR, implementing the request submitted during the third meeting of KRIR of the 7th term on February 22, 2024, asked the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Czesław Siekierski, on March 6, 2024, regarding the change of regulations regarding the movement of animals from the habitat to the pasture, which is not directly adjacent to the boundaries of the habitat plot – we read in the KRIR position.
Unnecessary bureaucracy
According to the current regulations, if the plots do not constitute one coherent area or do not have contact points, one herd headquarters cannot be registered in the indicated area. The owner of animals must, for epizootic reasons, register separate herd locations, which in turn requires regular movements of animals.
In response to the unreasonable provision, the National Council requests the introduction of simplifications in this respect for plots adjacent to each other but separated by a drainage ditch or a road, regardless of whether they are located in the same village or a neighboring one, in order to exempt them from the obligation to report movements and enable expanding the herd’s residences to them.
