
The Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a regulation regarding subsidies for the sale of grain; it is consulted with farmers – according to Tuesday’s statement by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Michał Kołodziejczak.
– We are talking to farmers about a specific regulation that is currently being prepared. We are still waiting for the appropriate processes that will enable this regulation to come into force (…) These are compensation for those who sold and will sell grain – said Kołodziejczak.
On Tuesday, the Grain and Feed Chamber reported that the supply of grain on the market is low and there is no interest in purchasing grain by entrepreneurs. It was also noted that farmers were waiting for the subsidies for grain sales announced by the government.
Compensation for grain
According to the ministry’s announcement for grain sold in the period from March 11 to May 31 this year. the farmer is to receive a payment of PLN 300 per tonne for grain sold between January 1 and March 10 this year. – PLN 200/t.
Depending on the region of the country, consumer wheat prices at the end of March this year. offered by processors with delivery in March/April this year. were at the level of PLN 720-800/t; feed wheat was purchased at the price of PLN 630-700/t, consumption rye at PLN 520-600/t, corn at PLN 660-740/t, and rapeseed at PLN 1,830-1,920/t.
