As Sovereign Poland, members of the PiS club, we appeal for the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, to immediately resign or for him to be dismissed, because there is no consent to brutally treat Polish farmers and hunters – said Jacek Ozdoba (PiS) at a press conference in the Sejm. .
On Wednesday, a farmers’ protest took place in the capital, in which also participated, among others, representatives of “Solidarity” and foresters. The protest began before noon in front of the office of the Prime Minister, then the demonstrators marched in front of the Sejm buildings. During the protest, there were clashes between demonstrators and the police. Paving stones were thrown at the police, and the services responded with tear gas.
The brutality of the Polish police, which is probably modeled on ZOMO or the militia, is absolutely unacceptable. I’m not talking about officers, but about those who decide on this type of brutal actions by police officers – said Ozdoba.
He added that “The Penal Code will sooner or later catch up with those who throw bricks at protesters and are police officers.” “We have recordings and photos that clearly show that the provocateurs, plainclothes policemen, were supposed to cause a riot to show that the farmers are guilty,” he said.
Ozdoba asked “how is it possible that a Polish officer allows a situation where a man is thrown to the ground, his flag is torn off, and a Polish policeman stands on the flag with his boots?”
This does not meet any standards of a democratic state. There is a person responsible for this. This is (the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration) Marcin Kierwiński and from this place, as Sovereign Poland, we want to call for an immediate debate in parliament on what is happening in the Polish police, who gave the orders and to what extent Marcin Kierwiński is in charge – he said.
In Ozdoba’s opinion, “Marcin Kierwiński should be dismissed immediately or he should resign himself.”
– There cannot be a situation in which the Minister of Interior and Administration is not responsible for the brutal use of force against protesters, the use of gas, batons, and shaking hands for no reason, when these people did not behave aggressively – he added.
– Hence, we, as Sovereign Poland members of the Law and Justice club, appeal for Kierwiński to resign immediately or for him to simply be thrown out, because there is no consent to brutally treat Polish farmers and hunters – he said.
