Two new HPAI outbreaks were detected
The Chief Veterinary Inspectorate announced the detection of two more outbreaks of bird flu. Eight HPAI outbreaks have already been detected this month.

Bird flu in the Greater Poland and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships
According to information posted on the website of the Chief Veterinary Inspectorate, 14. ognisco HPAI in Poland this year confirmed on February 14, 2024 on a commercial farm located in the town of Ławice, in the commune of Iława, in the Iława poviat, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. This farm was maintained 41,531 turkeys for slaughter.
On the other hand 15. bird flu outbreak in Poland this year it was confirmed on February 15, 2024 on a commercial farm in the town of Rumin, Stare Miasto commune, Konin County, Greater Poland Voivodeship. This farm was maintained 765 breeding geese.
The H5N1 avian influenza virus subtype was found in these outbreaks.
The total number of poultry in outbreaks is currently 365,402 (as of February 16, 2024).
