There have never been so many agricultural protests and tractors on the roads of the Łódź Voivodeship. Today, blockades are taking place in several places in four counties. Farmers are blocking provincial and national roads as well as entrances to motorways and expressways.
Agricultural protests in the Łódź region do not stop, but today is a real accumulation of road blockades. According to reports from the Police, columns of agricultural tractors have appeared or will appear today in several locations on national and provincial roads. Farmers will also block entrances to motorways and expressways in four poviats: Poddębice, Tomaszów, Zgierz and Wieluń.
Seven blockades near Poddębice
In the Poddębice poviat, tractors will block three roundabouts along national road No. 72 – the roundabout in Praga, the roundabout in Poddębice near the Bieronka discount store and the roundabout in Rodrysin (intersection of DK72 and DW 703). In addition, the provincial road No. 473 in Porczyny, the provincial road No. 479 in Zadzim, the provincial road No. 478 in Siedlątkowo, the provincial road No. 703 and the entrance to the A2 motorway in Pełczyska will be blocked.
Tractors near Wieluń and Tomaszów
In the Tomaszów poviat, farmers are protesting on the provincial road No. 713 on the Ujazd – Rokiciny section, and at roundabouts in Ujazd (intersection DW713/DW715) and Rokiciny (intersection DW713/DW716). In Wieluń County, national road No. 74 is blocked in both directions in the town of Osjaków.
Farmers block junctions on A2
In the Zgierz district, the A2 motorway junction in Wartkowice has been blocked since early morning, where entry and exit from the motorway is impossible. A similar blockade continues at the Emilia junction, where a protest has been announced until March 8. At the Leonów-Zgierz junction, on March 6-8, from 10 a.m. to midnight, the entrance to the A2 towards Poznań will be blocked. “There will be a total traffic ban on the motorway between the Emilia and Leonów junctions.” – reports the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź. Farmers may block the entrance to the A2 in Sosnowiec on March 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
