There will be even more time to build a new silo on the farm, which the farmer wants to build with funds from the KPO. The Ministry of Agriculture is once again extending the deadline for implementing such an investment.
In recent days, we have informed that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has extended the deadline for implementing the project and submitting an application for final payment to October 31, 2024 in the A1.4.1 call for proposals of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Plan (KPO), regarding the purchase and installation of silos.
But that’s not the end of the good news. It turns out that the Ministry of Agriculture wants to go further and plans to extend this deadline until April 30, 2025.
Surcharges for silos
A draft regulation on this matter has just been submitted for public consultation.
This is also a response to many appeals from farmers that the previous deadline, although extended, still poses a risk of losing the granted subsidy, due to the fact that the order completion period declared by the companies is very long (which is again the result of a very large number of orders / great interest ).
The main purpose of changing the above-mentioned of the regulation is to extend the deadline for implementing the project by farmers from October 31, 2024. until April 30, 2025
– This will reduce the risk of failure to implement projects in the field of warehouse infrastructure, i.e. the purchase or installation of a new silo, on time. This is currently related to the problems of silo suppliers, mainly in terms of timely execution of orders and delays on the part of assembly teams. This is related to the very high demand for this type of storage infrastructure, due to the large volume of grain on the market resulting from, among others, from increased grain imports from Ukraine – explains the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in the justification.
The limitation on the duration of the project has also been removed from the regulations – previously it was 12 months from the date of conclusion of the contract.
Costs incurred by the applicant by April 30, 2025 will be considered eligible costs.
The call for applications for the purchase and installation of silos lasted from June 5 to July 5, 2023. In total, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture received almost 13,000. applications for a total amount of over PLN 500 million.
