Yesterday’s session of the ISW stock exchange was an announcement of stabilization, which ended with maintaining the result from Friday’s auction – EUR 2.35 per kilogram.
Converted into the national currency (according to the euro exchange rate today: EUR 1 = PLN 4.30), the German recommended price of fattening pigs is PLN 9.46 per kilogram, compared to PLN 9.49 a week ago. The difference is due to the variable euro exchange rate.
Prices of fattening pigs in Poland
Over the past week, there was a slight increase in prices of fattened pigs on the domestic market, but it should be emphasized that it was not proportional to the price increases on VEZG. With each passing week, the distance between the Polish and German markets increases. According to our yesterday’s survey, a fattened pig in class E is currently valued at PLN 9.07 net per kilogram, while live animals cost approximately PLN 7.10 net per kilogram.
