Farmers unite and support the owner of a tractor that was destroyed during an accident at a protest near Żnin. Within a few hours, they collected over PLN 80,000 out of the planned PLN 300.
The accident occurred on March 20, around 1 a.m. The truck hit the farmers’ blockade at the Rogowo junction near Żnin, on the expressway no. 5 in Łaziska. Four tractors were damaged, including one very seriously.
The circumstances of the accident are currently being investigated. It is known that the driver was sober. Unofficially, it is said that he fell asleep at the wheel.

There were no drivers in the agricultural vehicles during the incident. Despite the very serious collision, including serious damage to four tractors, the farmers and the truck driver present at the scene were not injured.
The truck driver left the vehicle before the fire brigade arrived and waited for the police. The vehicle did not transport hazardous materials, said Łukasz Adamowski, press spokesman for the State Fire Service in Żnin.

Farmers organized a collection
Farmers from the Young Farmers movement decided to support their colleague in difficult times and started a fundraiser that is collecting funds to buy the tractor at an impressive rate.
The owner has no chance of receiving compensation under third party liability insurance. The period of field work begins, and most of the work cannot be done without a tractor. That is why we are asking you to support the collection for the purchase of a new agricultural tractor for the injured farmer – wrote farmers united in the Young Farmers Movement in the description of the collection.
According to the information, the collection amount was determined based on the valuation of the tractor.
If certain funds are not used, we will allocate them to charity – they add.
