
Today’s auction on a small stock exchange did not end with such a spectacular increase as was the case in the previous two sessions. Nevertheless, the upward trend was maintained.
The last two auctions – on February 6 and 9 – ended with large increases in prices of fattened pigs. During this time, it increased by a total of 12 eurocents. Today’s session was not so favorable, but the upward trend was maintained.
Prices of fattening pigs on a small stock exchange
Today’s auction ended with the sale of nine out of eleven offered lots of fattening pigs (1,340 out of 1,670 animals). The agreed transaction price was EUR 2.28 per kilogram, which means an increase of 1 euro cent compared to Friday’s session.
Converted into the national currency (according to the euro exchange rate today: 1 EUR = 4.34 PLN), the rate on the small exchange is PLN 9.90 per kilogram.
In turn, on the VEZG stock exchange, since last Wednesday, the recommended price of fattening pigs is EUR 2.10 per kilogram, which, when converted into the national currency, is approximately PLN 9.10 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, prices in Poland are still clearly below the ceiling set by VEZG. According to our survey, a fattened pig in class E currently costs approximately PLN 8.80 net per kilogram, while live animals are valued at approximately PLN 6.75 net per kilogram.
