
The price of fattening pigs on the German small stock exchange has increased again. This is the fifth session in a row ending with a price increase.
Today’s auction on the ISW exchange ended with a result of EUR 2.31 per kilogram. Of the 10 batches of fattened pigs (1,605 animals) exhibited, 9 batches (1,445 pigs) were sold. During the session, the price range of EUR 2.27-2.34 per kilogram was considered.
Converted into the national currency (according to today’s euro exchange rate: 1 EUR = 2.34 PLN), the rate from the small exchange is PLN 10.02 per kilogram.
It should be added that this is the fifth session in a row ending with a price increase. Since January 30, the price on the small stock exchange has increased by 21 eurocents. The current rate is the highest since the second half of September last year.
Prices of fattening pigs on VEZG
Wednesday’s session on the major stock exchange ended with a price increase of 5 eurocents. The recommended purchase price for fattened pigs established during the quotation is currently EUR 2.15 per kilogram, which, when converted into Polish zloty, gives us PLN 9.33 per kilogram.

Prices of fattening pigs in Poland
At the beginning of the week, fattening pigs in Poland cost on average PLN 8.80 net per kilogram of class E and PLN 6.75 net per kilogram of live weight. It is worth mentioning that these are the values before Wednesday’s increase on the VEZG stock exchange. Current prices in shopping centers are certainly significantly higher. We will present specific data at the beginning of next week.
