The mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, announced the city’s decision on Monday afternoon on his account on the X portal.
“In connection with further farmers’ protests planned for Wednesday, I would like to inform you that, taking into account the safety and, above all, the health and life of our residents, as well as maintaining traffic on the most important arteries of the city, I have issued four decisions prohibiting the organization of agricultural protests in the administrative area of Wrocław,” he wrote. Sutryk.
The decision concerns agricultural blockades within the borders of Wrocław. On al. Jana III Sobieskiego in the Psie Pole housing estate (entrance from Warsaw) it was supposed to cover both directions of traffic. The roundabout at national road No. 94 at the entrance to the Leśnica bypass and the roundabout in the Wojnów estate at the eastern bypass of the city were also to be blocked. The fourth blockade was planned for road no. 5 at the entrance to ul. Żmigrodzka.
Protest organizers may appeal to court in this matter.
