
Today’s session of the major stock exchange ended with an increase in the recommended price of fattened pigs for the second time in a row. The rate set today is the highest in over 4 months.
Today’s increase may not have been as impressive as last week’s, but breeders should not complain: compared to last week, the price of fattening pigs recommended by VEZG increased by 5 euro cents, reaching the level at the beginning of October.
Prices of fattening pigs on a large stock exchange
Today’s session ended with the establishment of the recommended price of fattening pigs at the level of EUR 2.15 per kilogram of fattening pig with a meat content of 57%.
Converted into the national currency (according to today’s euro exchange rate: EUR 1 = PLN 4.35), today’s rate is PLN 9.35 net per kilogram.
Prices of fattening pigs in Poland
Prices of fattened pigs in our country are still clearly below the German stock exchange. At the beginning of the week, the applicable rates in domestic purchases were PLN 8.80 net per kilogram of pig for fattening in class E, and PLN 6.75 net per kilogram of pig for fattening in live weight.
