Świętokrzyskie: farmers will block the tracks

The nationwide farmers’ protest planned for February 20 is starting to take more and more shape. As farmers inform us, the tracks will be blocked in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.

The next stage of the nationwide farmers’ protest is planned for next Tuesday, February 20.

This time, expressways and access roads to cities are planned to be blocked. Farmers from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship are going a step further – they have planned to block wide tracks.

Farmers will block the tracks leading to the golden seed

This is a peaceful manifestation, we are organizing as farmers from the region – Opatów, Sandomierz and Podkarpacie – says Piotr Kiliński, the organizer of the protest. – We want to manifest our dissatisfaction and concerns regarding the current situation in agriculture. Firstly, in connection with agricultural products flowing to us from across the eastern border, and secondly, in connection with the Green Deal. We are completely against it. We demand the removal of this green commune – appeals the farmer.

As the organizers emphasize, the protest is peaceful and their goal is not to make life difficult for residents.

They plan to block the wide LHS track through which grain from Ukraine enters our country.

We will block the road and the railway track – says Kiliński – so that the railway does not pass through. Our demonstration will start on February 20 at 11 a.m. and will last until March 14. This place is sensitive, this is where the shuttles arrive and are unloaded at a nearby terminal.

More borders closed! Not a step back - say farmers! Report from the borders

There has never been such a protest before

As farmers emphasize, there has never been a protest in Poland in which the tracks were blocked. Especially broad, but the situation is so dramatic that it requires decisive action. They hope that the permission they have obtained will be followed by more of this type and that it will soon be possible to block all tracks leading from Ukraine.

We encourage entrepreneurs, closely related hunting and fishing clubs, and beekeepers to actively join our protest – says the farmer. – Just likes and likes on pages are not enough. We need you to be with us at these protests. If we fall, that will be the end.

Farmers are happy that society is starting to look favorably on their protests and support their actions.

Some normality has returned in this matter. We do not manifest out of prosperity, we are not greedy, we are not lost in our heads. We do not need subsidies or bureaucracy. We don’t want this alms, Koliński emphasizes. – We want to work normally, earn money and support our families. We need them not to disturb us and let us run things normally. This is what we expect!
