It may look like a toy, but the Rolex BTW 135 disc harrow is a fully functional tillage tool. Designed mainly for vineyards, but it can also perform well in the field.
The BTW 135 device, which is microscopic compared to classic disc harrows, has been in the offer of the Polish agricultural machinery manufacturer Rolex since last year.
Rolex BTW 135 disc: small, but with two hydraulic cylinders
– The Rolex BTW 135 disc cultivator is dedicated mainly to vineyards, but if someone has a small tractor and wants to work with such a machine in the field, there is no problem – says Łukasz Biniek from Rolex.
At the fair, the machine with a working width of 135 cm was shown fully equipped. It can also be available in 150 and 180 cm versions, but as Biniek points out, these are produced for a specific customer.
– The exhibition copy has a hydraulic depth adjustment on the shaft and an additional plumbing cylinder. In tight conditions between the rows of vines, it can be lifted at the headland and turned around freely, because after “plumbing”, its length is reduced from 2 meters to 50 cm, which is the same as the diameter of its plate – adds the representative of the company from Przedbórz in the Łódź Voivodeship.
The Rolex BTW 135 micro disc harrow is equipped with two rows of toothed discs with a diameter of 510 mm on maintenance-free hubs, a tubular roller of a similar diameter and “floating” side screens. For efficient operation, it requires a tractor with a power of 30-50 HP.
How much does a Rolex BTW 135 plate cost?
The small size of the Rolex BTW 135 disc harrow does not mean an equally small price.
– A plate set in fair specifications costs PLN 17,500. PLN net, and in the basic version, i.e. without hydraulics and with rigid screens instead of floating ones, its price starts from PLN 14.5 thousand. PLN net – concludes Łukasz Biniek.
However, while staying at the Rolex stand for a while, one could hear offers of lower prices for people interested in buying it immediately.
