There has been stagnation on the German major trading floor for several weeks. Yesterday’s session also did not bring a change in the price of fattened pigs recommended by the association.
The last time we observed any movements on the large trading floor was at the end of February. For nearly four months, the purchase price for fattened pigs recommended by VEZG has been EUR 2.20 per kilogram of fattened pig with a meat content of 57%. (equivalent to our E class).
Converted into the national currency (according to the euro exchange rate from yesterday: 1 EUR = 4.34 PLN), the German price is PLN 9.55/kg compared to PLN 9.49/kg last week. The difference is due to the variable euro exchange rate.
On the domestic market last week we recorded a slight decline in prices of fattened pigs. They decreased by approximately 5 groszy. For fattening pigs in class E, plants pay on average PLN 9.49 net per kilogram, while live animals cost on average PLN 7.27 net per kilogram.
