Due to the farmers’ protests that have been ongoing since Tuesday, drivers are facing major traffic disruptions in the province. Łódź they will encounter near Piotrków Trybunalski. On Wednesday, the A1 motorway and the S8 expressway are still blocked in both directions. The police have marked detours.
- Due to several dozen tractors parked on the road, the A1 motorway is impassable near Piotrków Trybunalski.
- A similar situation occurs on the section of the S8 expressway between the Piotrków Trybunalski Zachód and Piotrków Trybunalski Wschód junctions.
- On this route, the police periodically open traffic from Warsaw – Katowice and Katowice – Warsaw through the Piotrków Trybunalski Wschód junction, as well as traffic from DK91 through the Piotrków Trybunalski Północ junction. However, there are very big traffic jams.
Due to the blockade of the A1, the police have marked detours. For the Gdańsk – Katowice route, at the Łódź Południe junction, traffic is redirected to the S8 expressway to the village of Pabianice Południe and then DW485 through Bełchatów, then DW484 to the Kamieńsk junction, where you can continue your journey. For the Katowice – Gdańsk/Warsaw direction, the same detour route has been designated – in the reverse order, from the Kamieńsk junction to the Łódź Południe junction.
Detours have also been planned due to the blockade and difficulties on the S8. For the Warsaw – Katowice route, the police at the Rawa Mazowiecka Południe junction are redirecting traffic to provincial road No. 726 through Inowłódz to Żarnów, to national road No. 74 and further south. Additionally, traffic is redirected to the Tomaszów Mazowiecki Północ junction. For the Wrocław – Warsaw route, all traffic from S8 is redirected from S8 at the Łódź Południe junction to the A1 motorway to Łódź Północ and then along the A2 motorway to Warsaw.

The farmers’ protest and the resulting difficulties are expected to end on Thursday around 10.
