Prices of coal and eco-pea coal lower than in PGG in February 2024. Where to buy?

• PGG has completely withdrawn from the sale of eco-commodities for home heating. We will no longer buy products such as Greenpal Ekomiał in the PGG e-store, which was sold in January this year. could be purchased from PLN 937/t.
• In February this year, we will no longer buy lump or nut coal for PLN 900 per ton in the PGG e-store, as was the case at the beginning of January this year.
• The prices of nuts and cubes in the PGG e-store increased by approximately PLN 200 per tonne on average in February this year. It is also worth adding that Kostka (Staszic-Wujek) and Kostka (Mysłowice-Wesoła) cost from PLN 1,270/t in the PGG e-store in February this year. In turn, for Groszek 5-25 Staszic -Wujek we will pay from PLN 1,120/t upwards in February this year.
• We can buy eco-pea coal with a high calorific value of up to 27 MJ/KG from private distributors.
• Prices from private distributors (e.g. Ekogroszek Premium PLUS ONYKS – G7 Group) are lower than the prices of packaged eco-pea coal (in bags) offered by PGG or PKW (former Tauron) at prices from PLN 1,820/t (from PLN 1,550/t plus PLN 270 delivery costs).
• The exception here is Karolinka Groszek Premium, but offered in bulk from PGG, for which we will pay approximately PLN 1,570/t (PLN 1,300/t + PLN 270 delivery cost to KDW).

The sale of bulk Karolinka Premium peas (formerly Karolinka ekogroszek) started on February 1, 2024 in the PGG e-store, with collection from Qualified Coal Suppliers.

Karolinka Groszek Premium is made from selected coals with the so-called anti-smog additive. blue coal, i.e. degassed and smokeless coal.

We will pay from PLN 1,300 per tonne of Karolinka Groszek Premium in bulk. This is PLN 250 less than bagged Karolinka Groszek Premium, which costs from PLN 1,550/ton. The price does not include the cost of delivery to KDW.

This is not the only new product from PGG. In the coming days, Polska Grupa Górnicza plans to introduce coal in the Walnut assortment to the store’s offer in big bag packaging with courier delivery. Unfortunately, it is not as cheap as it seems at PGG. Prices per tonne of cubes and Walnut from PGG jumped up in February 2024.

Walnut and Kostka have become more expensive in the PGG e-store, and the eco-commercial will disappear from PGG shelves in February 2024.

It is worth emphasizing that in February this year, we will no longer buy lump or walnut coal or fine coal for approximately PLN 900 per tonne in the PGG e-store, as was the case at the beginning of January this year.

Imported coal, which is offered in private warehouses, turns out to be a cheaper alternative compared to domestic production. Only the origin of coal has changed. The above prices from private distributors are competitive and exceed the prices of packaged eco-pea coal (in bags) offered by PGG or PKW (former Tauron) from PLN 1,820/t (from PLN 1,550/t plus PLN 270 delivery costs).
