The introduction of new subsidies for poultry producers who are committed to animal welfare is a milestone in Polish agriculture. The QAFP system offers financial support to producers of chickens and turkeys who pay special attention to animal production. Thanks to these subsidies, designed to promote appropriate breeding practices, the poultry sector can develop to the standards that are increasingly expected by the market and consumers.
From this year, poultry producers who meet the requirements of the QAFP system can apply for subsidies under the Animal Welfare Ecoscheme; they can receive up to PLN 37 for each hen and up to PLN 4.12 for each turkey. Importantly, subsidies have no limits, so poultry producers can count on large profits.
“The QAFP Quality Guaranteed System provides very specific benefits not only for consumers who, when purchasing meat products or meat with this mark, have a guarantee of the highest quality, but also additional money for poultry farmers. What else can you call, for example, a subsidy for each hen and turkey, I will mark each one in the QAFP system, worth up to PLN 4.12 without limits? QAFP is simply profitable.”

QAFP – subsidies for poultry producers, without limits
A producer who meets the requirements of the “Animal Welfare Ecoscheme” can receive up to PLN 37 for each hen and up to PLN 4.12 for each turkey, with no quantitative limits.
To qualify for these subsidies, a farmer must meet a number of criteria, including:
- Race and origin, chickens bred for broiler purposes should come from crossing two parental lines, and turkeys used for fattening on farms should come from crossing white, gray-breasted turkeys. – This process ensures that chickens and turkeys inherit the desired genetic traits that promote rapid growth and high meat yield.
- Feeding broiler chickens and young turkeys for fattening – should be done using specially composed feed that is adapted to their species, age, body weight and physiological condition. This process takes place under the supervision of a veterinarian, which ensures proper nutritional health safety
- High hygiene standards – farms raising and fattening chickens and turkeys should provide, among others: closed, ventilated rooms. All this is necessary to maintain animal health and welfare and produce high-quality meat.
Financing offered under the QAFP system constitutes an important incentive for farmers to further improve poultry production standards, which contributes to improving the living conditions of animals, increasing farm efficiency and high quality meat.
