Law and Justice has been against the solutions proposed as part of the Green Deal from the very beginning, said the party’s leader, Jarosław Kaczyński, on Saturday in Śniadów (Podlaskie Voivodeship). He argued that only PiS is the guarantor of a safe future for rural areas and agriculture in Poland.
The meeting in Śniadów was held under the slogan “Yes to agriculture”. In addition to residents, they were attended by, among others: local government officials and PiS parliamentarians from the region.
Jarosław Kaczyński devoted a large part of his speech to the Green Deal. – Saying “the Green Deal is thrown away” may be harsh, but it is really justified – he said.
– This is simply a certain type of religion that is practiced today, in extreme cases these are people who run around different places and shout “the planet is on fire.” They include the mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, who is going to be elected president of Poland, said the PiS leader.
He added that the solutions proposed in the Green Deal “must be stopped very decisively.”
And we are moving in this direction and we will push in this direction, and when we regain power – hopefully as soon as possible – we will also say it in the EU. End this madness, which has no justification, he emphasized.
In his opinion, even if we assume that climate change is obvious and everyone notices it, the claim that it results from human activity is “at least debatable.”
But even if it were not debatable, the whole of Europe is only 7-8 percent. emissions on a global scale. Well, even if it is reduced very radically, on a global scale it will be a completely minimal change, and others are in no hurry to repeat these European initiatives. These largest emitters – said Kaczyński, mentioning, among others: China, India and the USA.
“There are attempts to turn the opponents of the Green Deal into its supporters, or even its creators. Because PiS is accused of supporting the Green Deal or even being an initiator. This is absolutely untrue, it can be traced by looking at the individual stages of action around this issue in the EU,” Kaczyński argued.
He said that PiS would organize a special press conference on this matter.
Where it will be shown, point by point with dates, individual decisions so as to discredit the entire story. Law and Justice (…) was against this madness from the very beginning – he added.
He emphasized that if someone wants to ensure a safe future for Polish agriculture and the Polish countryside, such a policy has only one implementer in Poland today, one who – as he put it – “has proven himself.” “This means Law and Justice,” Kaczyński concluded.
