When talking about their demands, farmers from Nowy Dwór County do not take into account concessions and half-measures, they are determined to continue fighting for the existence of their farms.
Rafał Dłutowski, a farmer from Nowy Dwór County, speaking about the demands addressed primarily to the European Commission, pointed to the urgent need to stop the inflow of agricultural products from Ukraine, reject the Green Deal, change the Common Agricultural Policy and support breeding.
– There will be no concessions on our part until we achieve our demands and no compromises are possible here – the farmer announced decisively.
The fight for food security
Dawid Obojski, also a farmer from Nowy Dwór County, spoke in a similar tone, pointing out that the provisions of the Green Deal limit agricultural production and also limit the possibilities of developing farms, which may result in impaired food security.
According to the farmer, the compensation proposals submitted are not a good solution and do not eliminate the problem in the long run.
– Farmers would prefer stable prices, not wild ones. I know that there is a war in Ukraine and this is destabilizing the markets, both raw materials and means of production, but there cannot be such instability as in the lottery – said Obojski.
