Slightly in the shadow of the larger and much more impressive LS MT7.101, which we have already described, the second novelty of the concern belonging to the LG group – the compact LS MT5.73 – was presented at the Agrotech fair.
Many Farmer readers probably have a TV or a microwave oven from LG at home, but not everyone has a tractor belonging to the same capital group.
The LS Tractor company has been present in Poland for some time, but until now it offered equipment up to approx. 50 – 60 HP. Two new products with slightly more power were presented at Agrotech in Kielce. We have already described the first of them, the nicer and more impressive one. So now it’s time to write a few words about the compact MT5.73.
73 HP for approx. 140 thousand zloty
LS Tractor MT5.73 can count on interest in Poland. Although the tractor is not as nice as its bigger brother and is a combination of old, typically Asian style with a new idea for the brand, this should not be a problem, because after all it is definitely an interesting option in the range of 70-75 HP tractors, which is characterized by good workmanship.
Under the hood in this case there is an own engine of Korean production, LS Mtron L4CRV-T1A, which meets the Stage V standard and, importantly, has 4 cylinders. The engine capacity is 2505 cm3 and the power is 73 HP.
The operator has a 12/12 mechanical transmission, and PowerShuttle (20/20) is also available as an option. The wheelbase is 2150 mm and the tractor’s curb weight is almost 3 tons. It can be lifted up to 3 tons at the rear.
The price of the MT5 series tractor starts from approx. PLN 143,600. PLN net. We once drove an MT3 series tractor and we must admit that the LS Tractor brand is a very interesting option on the Polish agricultural machinery market and we are glad that they are finally entering the market of slightly more powerful tractors. It is also worth emphasizing that the Boomer series offered by New Holland is a product leaving the LS Tractor factory.
How much do competitors’ products cost?
One of the more popular tractors of the competitive, also Korean brand Kioti, i.e. RX7330PC with an engine of its own design (type 4FT-TM4) with a power of 73 HP and a PowerShuttle 12/12 gearbox, costs PLN 162.79 thousand. PLN net. The higher price in this case results from better equipment, transmission and greater capabilities of the tractor compared to the competition.
Another premiere of Agrotech, the Indian TAFE 7515, equipped with a 3-cylinder engine produced by the Indian company Simpsons under license from Perkins, with a power of 74 HP and a capacity of 2.6 liters (meeting the Stage V standard without AdBlue), costs PLN 147,000. zloty. For comparison, in an Indian tractor the operator has a 12×12 box with a mechanical reverser, the rear lifting capacity is 2,400 kg. Additionally, there are two pairs of hydraulic outlets.
Another Indian tractor, a much more popular Solis brand, the S75 model, is valued at PLN 153,900. zloty. The tractor has an ITL engine (own production), which is 4-cylinder and has a power of 76 HP. Additionally, maximum torque of 340Nm at 1,400 rpm, DOC + DPF + SCR exhaust afterburning system, Carraro 12×12 gearbox, rear linkage lifting capacity of 2.5 t or 3 t (depending on the version).
