Farmers spread straw in front of parliamentary offices in Białystok
First, there was a surprise for the Civic Coalition MP, Krzysztof Truskolaski. The farmers, accompanied by the sound of trumpets, covered the entrance to the building with straw, which was blocked.
We demand that the Polish government solve this situation, farmers appeal. – We demand complete blocking of the borders and stabilization of the situation on the grain market.
– All we have left is this straw – says Dariusz Ciochanowski, the organizer of the protest. – We now add about PLN 1,000 to each hectare, we make no profit. For a meter of rye to cost as much as two packs of cigarettes? This is a tragedy.

Manure was spread in front of the PiS parliamentary office
Manure was thrown in front of the parliamentary office of a Law and Justice MP. The farmers went inside with straw. In their reports, we can see them going up in an elevator with straw bales.
We are at the PiS office – farmers report. – The police have blocked the entrance and are not allowing the media or the rest of the farmers who stayed on the other side of the door to enter.
– We are here to help our politicians make decisions because they are still dragging their feet. No specifics. There is some hope, but we expect specific actions, adds Ciochanowski.
In a conversation with MP Truskolaski, who appeared in front of his office, the farmers presented their demands to him.
We are apolitical, we demand solutions. Misunderstandings arise from the agreements you make. You say you support us, but how many years can you support us! We won’t feed our children with promises, they shout.
The protesters threatened that if there was no reaction from the government within three days, similar actions would be continued in front of politicians’ houses. They also announced that they would pay agricultural tax with grain.
