We asked Gabriel Janowski, a well-known Polish politician and agricultural activist, to comment on the latest farmers’ protest.
As Gabriel Janowski emphasized, the recent agricultural protests are a call to politicians, but also to society, to defend Polish agriculture, which is in real danger.
Among the most important activities, Janowski pointed out the need to urgently debureaucratize agriculture, which reaches the limits of farmers’ capabilities. He also stressed the need to review current programs and verify which of them actually serve agriculture and which only harm.
Janowski gave examples of harmful activities, among others: green deal or recently implemented eco-schemes. These activities even lead to a reduction in agricultural production.
