John Deere 6M is the most important series of tractors of the American brand. In Poland, the 6155M model is the most popular tractor on the market. Everything indicates that next year this series of tractors will be refreshed and new models with more power will appear in the offer.
John Deere 6M won the Best Utility 2022 title in the Tractor of the Year competition and its sales data confirms its position on the market. The top sales by models in 2023 were the 6155M, 6120M and 6195M. The tractor is still attractive, but it’s time to slightly refresh the model range. Photos presenting the changes have been leaked to the Internet.
275 HP in the largest model
Currently, the 6M range includes 11 models with power ranging from 100 HP to 216 HP. They have 4-cylinder engines with a power of up to 161 HP, and the more powerful versions use 6-cylinder engines with a capacity of 6.8 l.
According to photos that appeared online, the refreshed model range will include as many as 17 models from 105 to 275 HP. There will also be as many as 5 types of frames, from the shortest 2400 mm for the 6M 95, 6M 105, 6M 115, 6M 125 models through spacing 2560 mm, 2765 mm, 2800 mm to the Xtra Large 2900 mm versions for the 6M 230 and 6M 250 models.
The models known so far will increase their power by approximately 5 HP. Up to the 6M 150 model with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, with a power of 165 HP, the tractors will be equipped with 4-cylinder engines, and from the 6M 145 model with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, with a power of 160 HP, 6-cylinder models will start.
We don’t know anything more about other changes to the tractors, but they will probably receive similar changes to the 5M series, i.e. a larger selection of transmissions (AutoPowr and AutoiQuad in each model) and equipment, also related to precision agriculture. Market Screener reports that the tractor will have a new display on the corner post, and the options list includes a 155 l/min hydraulic pump and 42-inch rims on mid-frame models (6M 145, 6M 155, 6M 165 and 6M 185 ). It will also be able to drive at a speed of 50 km/h.

Premiere at EIMA International
On the Italian machinery forum Tractorum, the authors of the entries claim that the premiere of the new series of John Deere 6M tractors will take place during the EIMA International fair in Bologna in November, and the tractors will be available in the 2025 model year. We’ll live and see.
