The form of inspection carried out by Law and Justice MPs at the Ministry of Agriculture on Tuesday was surprising. PiS MPs carried out an inspection as if they had come to some smuggling office, the Minister of Agriculture, Czesław Siekierski, said on Polsat News on Tuesday.
– I was surprised by the form of control. Opening wardrobes, moving them away in some way, not asking employees. We don’t want to hide anything, but we have certain arrangements with the Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine about the form of negotiations. (…) I was surprised that people of this class, the Prime Minister, one minister, a deputy minister, carried out inspections in such a way as if they had come to some smuggling office – said the head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Earlier on Tuesday, PiS MPs, former Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak, former deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Paweł Jabłoński and former Minister of Development and Technology in the PiS government Waldemar Buda, wanted to conduct a parliamentary inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture. They intended to check whether the Minister of Agriculture had started talks with the Ukrainian side regarding solving the crisis affecting Polish farmers.
PiS MPs informed that the Ministry of Agriculture decided to make secret documents regarding talks with the Ukrainian side regarding solving the crisis affecting Polish farmers.
